If not eating, how long to keep meal worms in tank?

So, our girl has not eaten much for the past 6 weeks or so... I am not worried about that, seems from what I have learned on this forum that it is pretty normal for this time of year.

Question, though. We always keep food offered in case she decides to eat, but how long do meal worms last in the cage before they go bad? I have mainly been keeping them in the cage for 2-3 days, then dumping them in the trash. Reason I am doing this is that they do not move much around after a few days, and I think she is way more attracted to movement when eating. How long can I realistically keep them in the tank for before dumping them and putting in new ones?

Thank you in advance

I wait till they start to pupate myself.
If they stop moving, you can put them closer to the warm side of the viv and that will liven them up a bit.
They last longer if you start with them on the cool side

Put a small piece of carrot or potatoe in the dish, I find this stimulates the worms to feed and move more, attracting the geckos. I also rotate worms out of the dishes and back into the worm bins and replace them with fresh ones every 3-4 days.

If there isnt nothing for the mealies to feed on then i replace them every 2 days. If I put some carrot in there i wait a little longer as they are a lot more active and being fed.
