I have a RAPTOR female that I bred with a male MS. Well, she laid eggs a little over a month ago. I now put a male MS het RAPTOR in with her about a week and a half ago, and guess what.....two more eggs last night. She couldn't have waited a amonh for another clutch with the original male MS could she? And it would have taken herlonger than a week and a half to lay eggs from the MS het RAPTOR right? I'm confused. Any help? Thanks in advance.

Obviously I'm confused as to where to post this thread. Sorry. Mods can move to where it needs to be.

Yes, females can easily hang onto a sperm pack from a previous male. From what I understand, it does take longer than a week and a half after mating, I think the least is 2 weeks...someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Females can retain sperm for the entire season. If she laid just over a month ago, then these eggs are on time. You may not know who the father is unless you get Raptor hatchlings.

that's what I'm hoping for, but I know that it s probably going to end up just beng MS het RAPTOR babes from the RAPTOR x MS pairing. I've moved the MS het RAPTOR out of the RAPTOR's bin for good measure. Thanks for the advice.
