That's cool. All though, even if it looks better, ti is harder to clean, and the smell/spots never go away. That's why I switched to paper towels. What color are you going to get?
thats not a problem for me, my leo poops in his moist hide
an they are easy to clean, you can just put them in water or put them in the washing machine EASY!
Yes good choice. I use paper towel in rack tubs, but Repti Carpet in tanks. To clean it, just put some hot water in a shallow pan with some Nolvasan or Cage Cleaner liquid and soak the Repti Carpet for a bit. Then you can rinse it and hang dry it or put it in the clothes dryer. It comes pretty clean for me.
I like that color best too, looks more natural to me.
Please keep an eye on little Martin as he walks around on it though.
Baby leos tend to get their little toes stuck in the fibers.
Also, when they go to pounce on a crick, their teeth get stuck to the carpet.
I'm not saying dont use it, just keep an eye on him, and if he does get tangled up in it, then take it out.
I tried it and had to take it out because they kept getting stuck.
I had to go in there and "unstick" one of my leos once. :main_no:
I, too, had problems with some of my babies getting their little mouths caught up in the carpet when snatching up crickets. I use mostly paper towel and tile now. But, hey, like the others have said, if it works for you, go for it! That grey is my fav color in it, too. It looks very sharp. :main_thumbsup:
I made my own repticarpet from Walmart the other day. They have flat doormats there for $3.00, sturdy, rubber backed, and no threads to catch claws in. Just cut it to fit! My water dragon seems to love it.
I personally prefer the reptile carpet to the paper towels. We've used them on our tanks for some time now...I don't believe that one of them has a stain on it. They're easy to change and clean...and they lay flat for the most part, where it's a lot harder to get the paper towels to lay like they should. I think it looks awesome in your tank!!
