OK, most of you know, I'm embarking on getting my herp room finished by the end of the year. Well, that deadline got bumped up by me, to ASAP. We've been have some work done on our home, windows for upper floor and new siding.

The original plan was to replace the down stairs windows in the spring, well hubby put things in overdrive, and now they should be here next week. Now it's very very cold here, and there is no way they can pop the windows out and in without dropping the temps in my office where all my herps are kept. Then you have to take in to consideration the fumes from the caulking.

So now my plans for the herp room have also been kicked into over drive. This what the room has looked like most of the year and up till yesterday, it's my storage room for my balloon business.

After emptying the room of must of my stuff I found that we had some moisture in the cinder blocks, so I had to seal it. Been painting since yesterday...I'm beat.

Partially through the sealing process. It's all done now. :)

Next step drywall. Installing another light fixture, and a door. Will be posting more pics as things move along.

Well not all the herps will be in one room. I'm still keeping Diego our first leo in my son's room, along with the RES and the Tort. And the Cresties for the time being will stay in my office, with a short stint in the herp room, while the windows are being done. If I do decide to get more cresties they will go in the herp room, just don't want all the herps out of my room, I would miss them too much. :(

9.5' x 16.5' before drywall. In the pics I'm standing in the other storage room that my husband uses for his business. Well since he bought a massive garage to work on cars, office space, and storage, we keep very little here at our home anymore. He just told me last night that I can take over that room now. Woo Hoo! Only problem is I can not put the door on the entrance of that room due to duct work and pipes, but I can store all my balloon stuff in there and still put the door on the other room as originally planned. The second room is 9.5' x 12'.

I just got some items for the new room!!! Hubby and kids got me two gift certificates from Target for Christmas, with the idea that I couldn't buy anything at Target for the gecko room... hahahaha. I picked up all the 6qrt tubs they had left today, 28 of them. Two three drawer stackable thingys to house my super colony in, I'll have to go back and get at least one more maybe two when they get more in, and I got a 2 gal hand pump pressure mister thingy from Home Depot. I'll go back tomorrow and get the rest of their 15 qrt tubs, and the rolling cart for supplies.

Next I'll be ordering some racks from AP and the cushion floor liner, so my feet don't get sore on the concrete floor. I'm thinking a little radio for the room would be nice for when I'm spending hours in the room. Someone asked me today how many females I had, and I never even really thought about how many total, just how many I was currently breeding. Too bad Target doesn't sell racks!

Thats funny I bought 30 15qt tubs from big lots and got strange looks. Especially when I walked up with just the tubs and no tops. When I refused like five times in taking the tops to the guy at the counter he thought he would pull a sly remark and say "Well were just going to throw them away you might as well take them" ... My response- "your trash can is bigger than mine". Needless to say I always get wierd looks and have to explain what they are being used for.
