Well, as some of you may have noticed, I basically fell off the face of the Earth about 4/5 months ago. I was completely geeked about the medical procedure I had waited almost 2 years for was finally going to happen in December! 
Well, recovery was a bit trickier than I ever anticipated......to say the least. I have RSD/complex regional pain syndrome really bad in my left arm as the result of a work injury. My life has been a bit of hell ever since. My arm has not only been useless, but severely painful and swollen all the time. A very miserable experience, indeed! So in December I had a neuro stimulator implanted into my spine with leads going directly to the nerves to help break up the pain signals. Anyone that has ever been plagued with chronic pain knows that when you get an opportunity to escape some of the pain just a bit better, you jump all over it! Well, as I said, recovery was a long road. I couldn't really move at all for the first 2 months less one of the leads pop out of the location it should be in and have to be reinserted. *sigh* Overall, it has helped a bit with my pain levels. I'm just really battling to get my life back at this point. I'm in a really rough spot, physically and emotionally. This operation just has such a horrible recovery time--I feel like I've missed so much! I'm just able to turn my neck and look at a computer screen for any duration, finally! I still have a long way to go, and have an appt. on the 30th to reassess my medication situation, as I'm always nauseated and have no energy to top things off. And my incision sites have become very painful. I don't know what that's about. I'm thinking I now have Harry Potter's burning scar in the middle of my back......maybe Lord Voldemort is near! :main_rolleyes: LMAO
Anyway, that's what's been going on with me. I just wanted to guys to know. I've missed u all much! I wasn't trying to runaway and never see u again! Honest!
On an up note, my spirits are up a bit these past couple of days. My Mom and some friends have been really great about helping me tend to the 'gecko heard'. I think they had a lot of fun as they got to make some decisions on pairings (they were caring for them for me, why not give them a little creative freedom!). I will have to get some pics up when I get a chance, but I have 6 little babies so far. They've brightened my days! My first hatchling of the year was a solid-red-eyed Raptor--poss Giant. From a Giant Tang Tremper het Raptor x Giant Hypo Tang Tremper 66% Raptor. I'm really stoked that my first baby proved his Daddy out as a Raptor het, no doubts now! And, Marcia, I have the first couple of grandbabies of yours that just hatched day before yesterday! My first little spotty Patty babies! Ahh, they're like their own medicine, aren't they? Well, sorry about the book! Just wanted to say hi and that I've missed everyone. I'm going to try to get some pics of babies and get them posted soon!
