I hate $%^&^%$ SNOW!!!

I had to shovel my steps twice, and still had a hard time clearing a path for my dog to get to his favorite potty area. I'm going back to bed to burmate!! ;)

EDIT: Nope can't go to sleep yet. Need to call all my customers to tell them no Valentine's Day balloons going out today, unless they want to get a ticket for driving and come pick them up.

Thank you Nancy. Actully I've been lucky so far, most have asked me to go ahead and make the deliveries tomorrow. It would have been really bad had I put all the bouquets together lastnight and have all of them cancel, so it's not looking too bad business wise.

Its no better here, its a blizard, work is closing half a day, yay, that never happens.

It's not TOO bad here yet, although I almost didn't make it to work today, almost got stuck on a side street trying to go up a hill.

The worst is supposed to hit us later, around 2 o'clock so my supervisor is trying to get permission to close the office early, so we don't get stuck driving home in the storm.

Shoot it just stopped here, we got snow and on top of that ice, shoot I went to go outside and I thought I was standing on a frozen lake and I couldn't fall through, I was slipping and sliding and my poor dog Onyx who can't use her hind legs very well, tryed to walk out and slid down the slight down hill grade like a seal going into the water off a snow bank. And I think she liked it, she used to love to play in the snow. Boy it was hard to get her back up! We have used the snow blower twice and today because of the ice its not working. Good Luck my northern friends, It almost there. Two nice long storms.........as the news says its going to be there today from the posts above(in NY) it must be there now. Now I am not sure how I will get my husband to the hospital for surgery at 5am tomorrow! Stay warm because after the storm its high winds and thats the worst went its already frozen. Hugs.... Deb

Nice pics! I've never seen something like that in person. I've seen very few snowfalls in my life, and of course anything like this!

Hey, let's change places until I get tired of the snow and you of the heat waves :p

Well, getting out earlier is great but may not happen if we cant get out of the parking lot lol. The snow stacking up and havent seen the plows come around recently, this could really stink :(.

I would get out, even if it meant me shoveling an opening to the street...LOL

Lol, it's a pyramid!! :)

I'm glad you'll be able to deliver tomorrow! RR is usually pretty fast at digging out and making roads drivable (I hated that when I was in school).

At least we haven't had any big snows, just lots of wind and cold weather, I think we got around 5 inches over all, but some pretty deep drifts in the park overlooking the lake where I walk my doggies.

Poor Chester, the little mini doxie (he is almost 3 and weighs a whopping 7 lbs). I set him down to go potty and apparently I was standing next to a snowdrift, the little fellow just disappeared in the soft snow. I had to reach down and pull him out. Guess it was a good thing he had his parka on, he doesn't have any body fat. But in the end, he went and took care of business on three legs (yes, all four work just fine, he was just cold).

The larger mini doxie, Bailey (really a small standard he kept growing is 17 lbs) and he seems to like the snow ok. But Madison, the 11 month old Weimaraner just loves it. She runs, jumps and buries here head in the snow trying to dig out sticks to play with. It is very humurous, makes it almost worthwhile watching her while I am freezing. I have to wipe her head and nose off when we are done because she will have little icecycles hanging off her whiskers from where she runs so much and starts breathing hard.

I guess we can say about winter what Eeyore says about rain, "the good thing about it is that it is going to stop....eventually."

Yup a pyramid, the peak is about 3-4 feet away from the garage, it almost looks like it's touching the garage in the picture.

Yeah my son is not happy that there's a good chance of school tomorrow. However I think RR forgot to put out the school closing today. It was not on any of the lists, and when I called the school there was no answer, so just incase I called the attendance line and left a message that I was keeping him home.

Awwww sounds so cute. My dog loves the snow, just not when it's higher than he can jump.

My job had delayed opening at 10:30, so I decided to carpool with my wife in our Durango since my car doesn't have 4WD and we go to work the same direction from home . Let's just say the ride was less than pleasurable. Lost the power steering belt and the water pump went just as we we made it to her parking lot. Luckily a mechanic is across the parking lot. So, not only am I stuck in her office for the day, but we are out 500 dollars. At least it didn't overheat on the side of the road in the ice storm. :(

I just made the mistake of going out to lunch. Driving conditions are HORRIBLE! It's snowing and hailing/icing out at the same time, so the snow just sticks to your car. I had to drive with my windows open so I could see out of them. And, the slush/ice kept sticking to my windshield wipers, so my windshield kept streaking and I couldn't see out of it, so I kept having to reach out my window, grab the wiper and let it slam on the windshield to clean it off. I couldn't see at least 20 feet in front of me, and sometimes I couldn't see ANYTHING, not even the road. It is really bad driving! My boss is letting us leave early, 2:00, and he had to fight to let us out at that time. Our manager (Who is actually in Cleveland) said that he didn't think it was too bad to let us leave. He must have looked on Weather.com and saw that we only have about 5 inches os snow or so, and thought driving wasn't so bad. He doesn't understand that the worst part is the mixture of Snow/Sleet/and Ice. And, then you add the high winds to it, and it makes it even worse.

I am SOOOOO dreading the ride home.
