.........I just jimmy-rigged an ice pack to send with a gecko. What makes it even stupider (if that was a word), I had an ice pack at the office that I forgot to take with me to FedEx. Running out of time, I ran next door to the liquor store (from FedEx), bought an 8 lb. bag of ice and a bag of utinsils (because they were in a ziplock bag - since the store didn't carry ziplocks!! :main_angry: ) I ran back to FedEx, dumped the utinsils in my purse, tossed some ice in the bag, and put it in the box with the gecko. Then I called the guy I am shipping to to out myself so he doesn't think I'm the idiot of the week. Well, he may still, but I at least warned him. :main_no:

Now I'm praying that bag doesn't leak. STUPID DUMB!!!!! :wall:

LOL I do plenty of stupid things all the time. We have a bag full of instant cold packs (because I forgot to put some regular ones in the freezer) that we still haven't figured out how to activate.:main_rolleyes: Let us know what happens!

Thanks guys. :D

The guy called, and was really nice. The gecko made it there safely and he's very happy with her (YAY!!!!!!!!), but he did say that the condensation got the box wet in one corner - like someone dropped it in a puddle. :embarassed: I assured him that the next time he orders a gecko, it won't come with a homemade ice pack!!! :main_laugh:

I always want everything to be perfect when I ship out a gecko - and then I still stress over whether I should've used an ice pack or nothing or whatever. So, I can imagine how you felt! I'm glad the gecko got there safely and early (for us anyway - I love shipping east).
