Impaction from mealies?

Well, I'm an expert in pretty much nothing, but in my limited experience, I have fed the heck out of two different leos and never had a case of impaction. The first time, before I knew any better, I fed my female 100 mealworms in 24 hours. She didn't poop for three days, and then let out the turd of her life that looked just like a ball of mealworms.

Seems to me that leos are the most hardy critter on the planet...

i feed mealworms and crickets even waxworms as a treat and havent had a problem so far

Mealworms won't cause impaction. Many people feed only mealies and have no problem.

I will not voice my opinion about that article. Some of you already know how I feel about it.

I will tell you this...LOTS of things can lead to impaction if your husbandry is incorrect, and if you are feeding improperly sized insects to begin with.

I DO believe a leopard gecko's diet needs variety and not just a diet of mealworms, but I disagree with his belief(s) that the mealworms ALONE can cause impactions in a leopard gecko.
