I have a few females that should breed this comoing season, and I have my eye on a 1.3 group for sale, so I will most likely be having anywhere from 3-8 female geckos laying this season, I would like to know the best incubator to use, plus the best way to use it, like should I put each egg in a certain container? Also I dont want to spend a WHOLE lot of money, but dont want to buy a cheap one, and then have to spend more if it breaks. Any help would be great!!

Thanks
Crystal

that is right, you have to get the 1602N model. the others are like 99F is the lowest. just read and make sure it is reptile compatible.

I prefer hovabators. Some say that they have fluctuating temps, but I've never had any problems with mine. I don't think that one will suffice for 8 females, though. I have a few set up. I use deli cups in the incubator though. I tape the holes when I use hatch-rite, otherwise leave them as is with moistened perlite.

Is the one that LLLreptile has good for leopard geckos?

Anybody know the best priced ones I can get? I need to get it within this week as I am leaving out of town until December, and want to be able to have it so my sister can have it set-up and ready and everything. She will probably be on here later this month under this user asking questions and stuff. We are just starting our breeding business, and want to be sure we have everything right.

If you will be breeding 8 females, you would potentially have more than 100 eggs. I would go with the Nature's Spirit incubator with a Helix controller.

Right now I have a 1.2 trio all virgins, and I have a 1.3 group coming to me that I was told last year produced 20 babies, so would a hovabator do okay just for now? Or would I still need to get something bigger?

Thanks

I have three female that will be ready to breed this season, I need to know if a hovabator would be enough room for their eggs? Also which thermostat is the best for them? I am also planning on getting it from LLLpretile.com

Thanks

I have been able to fit 40 eggs at a time (10 in each tupperware container) in a hovobator. This past season I bred 6 females, 4 of which layed a reasonable number of eggs. The hovobator was fine.

My Hovabator I fit around a dozen eggs in each tupperware :) But with any incubator you need a thermostat controller I prefer Helix's but you can get Ranco's or Johnsons :)
