good luck i bought mine and couldn't be happier, Really if you dont know what your doing when making one. or just spending too much. i would really buy one. i got one for under 50$ with shipping. and it works great! but good luck with your home made one.

I tried one exactly like that but I couldn't get it to hold the temp. Then i thought of insulating it with foil--which worked...until mold started to grow on the foil

I, then, ended up putting about 3 inches of water in a regular cooler (plastic not styrofoam) and setting the heater in that, setting my container on top of that--w/the thermometer--and closing the lid. That holds heat MUCH better and I've not had any problems with temp fluctuations this season. No hatchlings expected for another few weeks, though, but I'll let you know how things go

i make it by my self...
it's cheaper than we buy an incubator....IMHO
it's the same like in the photo( there's a heater right?)n ...you have to add 2 bricks( put it left n right),less the water...then put the long single glass put on the bricks. give a distance between water n long single glass...then you are ready to put the eggs of tupperware on the long single glass on it n dont forget to close the top of the aquarium. i use this incubator for 3month n i already success hatch 9 baby geckos.... yo may try it Bro...it works...

1 8 gallon hexagon aquarium
enough vermiculite to fill it 4 inches up
a thermometer
2 heat rocks
and some plastic rap

1. pour the moist vermiculite into the aquarium
2. put in the thermometer
3. put the heat rocks underneath the aquarium
4. put the plastic wrap over the top of the cage
5. put on the lid

I did this and have had great success.
I never even had to remoisten the vermiculite!

let me know how you do
