I've heard that the incubators made by natures spirit work really well (kind of expensive)

or another thing to take into consideration is building your own. it's pretty easy and you can make one to whatever size you need... here's a website that helped me out (if you have a cooler and a thermostat handy it will be really cheap)

each of these will probably be more precise than hova bators. i use a herpstat and temps stay within .1 degrees of the set point.

We got a Nature's Spirit incubator a couple of weeks ago. It seems to work fairly well all though I'm not a fan of the Helix control. You can only turn the temperature up one degree at a time, you can't turn it down. So you have to cycle through the entire temperature range if you just want to lower it one degree. A couple of the frame pieces were cut a little crooked to so the door doesn't seal completely. But WAY more accurate than a hovabator!! I think we may just build the next one. We'll see...

Marula, I just finished making a new incubator and I used a Herpstat ND for the thermostat. I've never used a Helix, but the Herpstat ND is perfect and works really well.
