I know Hovobaters are pretty good. Although I have heard of people complaining about the fan that is in some of their models that it dries out the eggs. But I have also heard other people rave about it. Maybe it's the ones without the fan that are good? Anywoo, that's what I heard. :D

You can purchase a hovabator without a fan and not have that problem. I want to say that the 1602 models, like you've linked to do not have fans. I want to say those are the ones that I have, and with proper humidity and moisture in the cup, you shouldn't have problems with the eggs drying out.

Hovabator and other incubators of a similar style are probably the best, cheap incubator you can get.

Yes, especially since you just have a few geckos that you would be breeding. The deli cups won't get you far since there are just 5 of them, but the Hatch-rite should last a bit. If you opt to use the hatch-rite, you'll need to put tape over the ventilation holes in the deli cups that they give you; if you don't the hatch-rite will dry out, which means the eggs will also dry out.

I think the deal on 3L is a good one since Hatch-Rite is typically around $11-$15 plus the incubator and the 5 deli cups. It's really a good deal. I've taken it before except when I took the deal, I had a small bag of vermiculite instead of the Hatch-Rite. The Hatch-rite is the better deal, but I don't like Hatch-Rite. I bought a bag last year, and still have slightly less than half of it. I just prefer vermiculite or perlite, but many people have great success with Hatch-Rite.
