This year was pretty for us, beacuse it was the first time we had more than tangs. I thought I would share some results, because it seems that we don't do it as much as we should. I think if we would share more info we could greatly increase the colors of our leos.
The first pair is a RW x RAPTOR, which I got from Jason. They had two types of babies this year, which really confuses me. Could someone tell me if its a tremper or a RW albino. I'll post the RAPTOR babies when they get old enough for photos.

That's what I thought. Someone had to be het for something. The eyes on the babies look a lot like RW

The first two are the parents and the second are the babies. The male is the Raptor on the right with two full red eyes. I was trying to start a typhoon project and life threw me a curveball.

Boy, that last little one sure does look like a rainwater, but who knows??? I guess I could see the raiwater being het for tremper, but how in the world that raptor could have gotten raiwater genes is completely beyond me. Strange stuff! Is there any way you could have mislabeled the eggs?

Could you post a pic or 2 of the little one from the side? (like a profile shot) I swear LVs have a slightly different head shape and body proportions than Trempers. It'd still be a guess at best :)

The eggs are definitley hers, because I got a 50/50 split of norms to albinos and one of the clutches had both. The first two eggs were norms, then the second were split and the third were both albino. I'll work on the side photos for you if I get time, but Julie has the Flu real bad. I just had the third and final Raptor egg hatch and once again 2 all red eyes. At this point I would have to call it genetic, because there is no way I am that lucky.

The first and last resemble RW's, but man thats a good amount of CT for your average RW unless the RAPTOR gene added CT, I would say they are all Tremper. I say this because the second gecko is most deffinatley a tremper.

The second gecko is a RAPTOR, but the first one is definitley a RW. They have to be different albinos because they produced a normal baby. Besides they came from a very respected breeder. If I was lucky enough to get a male out of it, I'm going to go for a typhoon this year.

I am just curious. What is this typhoon creature you speak of? lol

I have been wondering about this as well. I'm not sure if it's something I should get excited about and plan for or just let others tackle. My plate is pretty full as things currently stand.

The Typhoon was/is the "Eclipse" traits bred into the LV strain--patternless striped LVs expressing the eye trait...

Thanks, Brian. I was considering them before while not knowing the new name, but decided RAPTOR-based and RADAR-based projects were more than enough. I really should have just stuck to RAPTOR-based. Would have kept my numbers down some.

So I am going to vend at a show this weekend and I am still deciding how to sell these babies. I think I'll label them as tremper albino het Rainwater, het RAPTOR. I guess I'll just have to be very upfront with people as the question behind their genetics. In the words of John Travolta, "Wee, what a predicament." Any thoughts?
