Hello All,

My first post here and although I have had quite a bit of Experience with Reptiles, these are my first Leos. I actually got them for my 5 year old son who helps me take care of them and he enjoys them.

I am not real clear on many of the ID's, so any help on these guys would be helpful also!

Both Females I believe:

Looking great! Your son is lucky :D I'd say the first one is an awesome orange Tang, and the second one a cute Rainwater Patternless getting a nice orange tail.

Thanks for the welcome!!

They have been fun, and it has been neat to see them color since they were hatchlings....

Lots of fun!

The first one might be a male, judging from the third picture. You picked out pretty nice Leos for your son;)

I think you got two males there I wouuld suggest seperating them. I would also recomend taking them off of sand. And I think Baoh was asking for close up picters of the eyes on the patty to see if its a bell patty or not ( my guess at the jackpot quote). My guess would be tremper patty. But a very nice one at that.:main_thumbsup:

Gotcha, you guys are using jargon like 'Patty' that I have no idea about!!!!

LOL,

Anyhow, I will try and get a pic of it,

what exactly defines an eclipse.

Thanks!

Most toes I've seen that were orange like that are from orange sand. I could be wrong, just a guess. I also assumed that the containers in the pictures were not what they were housed in by how shallow they were.I could be wrong also a guess. Perhaps they could enlighten us.:)

You are correct on the sand sir!!!

As I mentioned, being a novice with the Leo's, I thought that the sand sold as 'digestible' woudl not be an issue. Having been cruising the forum, it appers it is not a best practice.

I have been considering seperating them, perhaps 2-10gal? Especially if there is a consensus that they may both be males.

If I do, I will go with a more suitable substrate. Having had them for 5 months now, I have not seen any issue with sand that woudl indicate any kind of impaction. But, no need to tempt fate.

Thanks again for all the info.
