This is my favourite Holdback from 2010:
A young Giant male from our pure TUG- Line Raptoglow project:

Alround 9-10 months old and currently 88 grams already :). He's finally close to my inner picture of a "true" patternless adult Raptor that I had in mind when I started this project, and has one partial and one snake eye- but personally I like the partial one best because it gives him a "dragon"-like look :)..

I named him "Solar" because of his bright yellow colour. He's such a calm and gentle boy and loves to be handled. Eating and growing like crazy aswell.

Because the pairing was Giant x normal I didn't expect any giants at all, as I was not very lucky with this project in the first years (as I wrote in the other post). To see now that my favourite holdback turns out to be giant aswell is a real bonus, and makes me very, very happy :)!

Can't wait to see how his babys will turn out :)!!

Thank you so very much everybody for your comments :nice:!!

Very unique project. What are you other plans with it now?

I'm planning to continue with selective breeding for more colour and carottail for the coming years. I also would love to cross Solar into other projects aswell, like montanus f.ex.
I still need some time to think about which crossings would be most reasonable for this genetics, so I am open for another opinion :main_thumbsup:.

And of course I'll try for a male Supergiant TUG Raptoglow this season :). This is one of the females
I will use for him: A Supergiant TUG Raptoglow female named „Radiance“. She is now alround 15 months old and 98 grams.

Love how big he is already compared to her :)..

First off I love it! But is he considered paternless with those spots on his head?

Those are good ideas. Well once you make it 100% your own line then you should throw in a snowglow form or even a emerine line of raptors. That would be real cool. If you produce some super giants I would like to have a pair myself. Keep up the good work.

Thanks alot guys for your comments :)!!
Sharing your ideas and thoughts really means alot to me :nice:.

@chazthaking2: I'm expecting the first eggs from this couple soon, so I'll keep you posted. Until now I've hatched 3 siblings to "Solar" (poss.Giants), and they turn out quite nice in colour and carottail :).
