Hey,

I have been noticing that Skyler is much larger than Ebony. I purchased them on April 5th of this year. The pet co person said they were 2 weeks old. They were both the same age and size then. I have no clue what's going on... But I think Skyler is a giant leo.......

I just measured them both a few minutes ago...
Skyler: Almost 6 inches
Ebony: Just under 5 inches

They both get fed the same amount of food and d3 calcium.... Skyler even has a larger head them Ebony. Yes, they are both very healthy and fat... :)

So..... do you think Skyler is a giant leo???

Thanks!!

I forgot to mention... they are housed together in a 20 gallong long. They get along perfectly. My dad is working on building a wooden (or plexi glass) divider, due to they are both males (or that's what's it seems).

That's possible. Ron Tremper started Giants by some accident, a really big baby just popped out. Or, he might just be big. To me, there really isn't a clear line between Giants and normals. There can be really big "normals" that they say aren't "Giants", but what's the difference? That's my point. :)

Okay. Thanks you guys. So Skyler (the carrot tail) may or may not be a giant?

I guess only time will tell if he is a giant or not.....

Thanks you guys.

Well, you can't truly tell he is a giant if he is like 100-110 grams because some say those are giants, and some don't. To me I think the "giant" morph should not really be called a morph. It's just like any other animal, if there is any animal that is a little bigger than the species is known for being, then why don't we call them giants too? If there is a Leo that is considerably bigger than the "normal" Leo, and it is a proven morph, then I say it is a true morph. Just my opinion on the matter.

I dont know about weather or not he is a giant but the size differance might be caused by a bullying factor the bigger one might be more dom and eat more than the smaller one. this dose not tend to be much of a prob from what i have seen with mine but just norm mean if they feed togather then the more dom one will a... start eating first or b... sort of run off the other until the dom one gets his/her fill so i would watch what happens when you feed them take notes and see if you see the same patterens happening hope it helps
