Is my egg fertile???!?!?!?!?

I came home to an egg in my tank. I candled it and thought it was my females first egg (it is) and it was a dud. Now I looked with the light coming from the top of the egg and I saw red lines and blue lines.. (veins?) Does that happen in infertile eggs? It is dented in the bottom and looks like it is oozing but it could be from the laying of it. Help me I am putting it in the incubator for now just in case.

red veins usually means fertile keep it cookin in the bator!

I'll post a pic in a few minutes veins made sence but it looks in bad condition. It is in there I have it set to 86 that sound good?

I am! I am so happy and kinda scared. My female didn't lay it in a hide box it might beeen rolled by other geckos.

the egg has been in the incubator for a few hours now and the egg has dented in on two of the sides. any suggestions?

Leave it in. I've had eggs that dent at first but they fill back up. You might want to try moistening the medium around it.

Like what the egg is sitting in? I have it on vermiculite(I mist) and in the invubator I have water and a bag of water.

sounds like your doing good then. leave it for a week or two and see what happens

Make sure not to spray directly on the egg. If the egg is dented get a lil piece of paper towel and dampen it (not to wet) and put it on the egg for 24 hrs and see how its doing. Keep it incubating though.

I had that happen to the last egg my female laid, it dented pretty bad but i misted the verm and that waslike 2 weeks ago. now its nice and plump with no dents good luck with it, keep is posted:main_yes:
