is there ever such a thing as to too much moisture for a leo. my leo lives in his moist hide and never wants to come out of it. it worries me can he get a respitory infection if hes in there all the time. hes rarely ever in his other hides or even out in the open. so is there ever too much and if so how do i fix the problem?

Most leos are pretty good at self regulating. The "humid hide addiction" is not unusual. Eventually most pick another place to spend all their time. Many of them are definitely creatures of habit.

Your leo will know what its doing in regards to the amount of time it spends in its humid hide. If a viv was to humid though this can cause respiratory infections. Just double check all your temps (measure from the floor) to make sure there ok if there fine then theres nothing to worry about. Odviosuly just its favourite spot.

What the others said, and I will make one small addition. These are desert animals but they do spend the day in burrows or dens. They will have some natural humidity so it would be normal for them to stay in the humid hide. As long as its not a swimming pool you should be good.

The only thing I know of that can stem from too much moisture is mouth rot. Just be mindful of that and all should be good.
