Is This Normal?

I saw today one of my bigger beetles attacking and eating one of the littler, less mature beeltes. Does this happen normally? If it does, they're vicious little things, lol.

I've never seen that happen but I've been told to keep the worms, aliens, and beetles separate because some of them will eat the others for moisture.

ive never actually seen one of my beetles attacking another, but i have seen the eaten carcasses of beetles. i one time saw a feeding frenzy where there was a ball of around 20-30 beetles all eating a dead one.

I usually put potatoes in there put I think I'm going to switch to carrots because potatos mold so fast! Do carrots mold fast?

ive seen that happen. they were pretty much eating the little beetle alive. it was running around with half an abdomen.
i found that if you keep carrots in there constantly they stop attacking each other. i think they do it for moisture.

I agree with Mohamed, I have not seen it happen but I have seen the carcasses. And yes I think the carrots works out the best.
