I bought mealworms today, so im startin mah colony.

Cool. Even though the petstores are overpriced, its pretty much the same price because with online you need shipping.

my local pet store sell them for $5 for only 100 so for $14.95 shipped i get 1000 so i think it is cheaper to buy online and i just got mine and only 1 out of 1000 died but when i but a 100 form the store 20 of them were dead

No its alright i already got mine. But i feel like they ripped me off. Looked like i only got 300 but paid for 500.

I have 10 gecko's (not all leo's) in general...I feed mealies as a staple with giving them crickets maybe once a week?! I tried breeding mealies and would do it even if I had one gecko because they'd last forever with one. But I had no success. I found it to be a pain in the butt. However some people breed them like crazy with no problems whatsoever. Like a few others have said too, with breeding your own you also know that they've been gut loaded along with saving you money. It's worth a try (or several) if you don't want to be buying bugs every other day/week.

Also I just purchased 100pk and only received 40 + 10 dead. From a reptile/bug supplier not a petstore. I was PO'ed needless to say.

Thats how i felt. Now im mad because i dont think ill have enough to feed until i start to see mealies.
