Hey sorry having trouble getting the pics off the iphone. wow people sure are excited about the boy :p

it does look just like what crestedgecko posted, just a bit darker...but it could be the pics. I took pics with my camera but it made him lighter. Sit tight a bit longer :p

Ok, here are the pics of him with the camera...The flash makes him lighter, but kinda shows you(just sit tight for the iphone pics...they are more acurate of the color)

It was kinda fun taking pictures. She said "don't tell anyone I let you take pics, but I guess if I take him out of the enclosure...no cage pics and you don't get our name on it it'll be fine. And you won't be putting it on the net" :main_rolleyes:

There was also another one in the enclosure but he was the normal bright gold look. She said "he's the ugly one" and that they've been there for awhile, that's why they're so big. She said they feed them baby food.

I looked around the enclosure and while I was looking their was mold in their food dish...Is that ok, I mean I know it's not ok...but will this have anything to do with him health wise? I mean I'd hate for him to die on me :(

The third pic is pretty accurate of his color.
Let me know what you guys think. He kept moving...so it was really hard.

I think her shirt kinda gives away where he's from :) He's prety tho. I'd report the mold in the dish to some one tho... that's just poor care. No wonder that joint is always in the activist newsletters for animal abuse.

Erica, it's sort of hard to judge in the picture, but, how big would you say he is? He's a pretty color. Again, I'm new to cresties, I wasn't even aware of green cresteds (other than the Green Flames at Pangea).

CRESTED GECKOS ARE SOOOOO BETTER LOL :p
We have 2 adult males, 5 adult females, 7 babies, and one baby that just hatched which is the only one I haven't bought so far plus i have 8 more eggs for now. Waiting for one of our girls to lay cause she is gravid now! Plus we are picking up a gargoyle gecko and 2 more crested geckos soon. Oh did i mention my 2 rosy boas, 2 emperor scorpions(one is gravid female), male adult bearded dragon, California reverse banded king snake, oh and the beta! :D

Gargs beat cresties outta the water any day. Cresties tend to be more jumpy then leos or gargs. Atleast my 3 cresties are plus my friends 20 odd(he breeds them:p) Even his tamest doesnt come near the least tame leo i have. When i SEE someone acutally be able to walk around with a crestie on there shoulder without it jumping off or trying to get to there head then i'll consider them less jumpy boogers. Ofcourse there still neat;D

Pink- he is on the thinner side for a crestie, Was he defiantly a male? The buldges at that size would be noticable big time. He is a olive color:D Super cute.

He's got HUGE buldges just like tara said. Deff a boy.

No, the one in the tank with him was just normal light gold color.

The guys on the pangea forum are yelling at me because I posted pics online after I said I wasn't. Hmph

They also stated he's very common and not rare like you guys said :S
"He's a nice enough looking gecko (having a lot of shedding problems, though), but he's nothing super rare. He's a pretty average, and fairly common, dark olive. He'd make a good pet; I wouldn't suggest him as a breeder. He'll probably throw pretty ordinary buckskin and olive babies. Cresties get a LOT darker than this. It's the ones that approach almost black that are highly valuable."

Well it was a fun thread to say the least :p

If they are so common why am i never finding them? I find low grade harlies all the time, tigers, hell even flames and commons are easier to find them olives. Yes the dark dark ones are the ones everyone wants but its thanks to the darker olives i bet that they get them. Ive searched manyyy breeders web pages and not a single olive one. Maybe they were just lying so they could go get it? lol seriously tho i spent a year looking for the right male and didnt find a single olive gecko

I'm not sure. Just what they said, I don't like them too much over there. My first experience left a bad taste in my mouth :p (going to stop talking about that forum, just prefer it better over here, and I just hate the 'being new' feeling)

As soon as I posted pics I thought you guys didn't seem as excited as you were, but I could just be reading it wrong :p

So they say the color is "DARK Charcoal Bicolor"...what does Bicolor mean?

Honestly I'm more of a fan of the reds, and pretty golds (yea the cheap ones *lol*) but it might be fun to have him.

I'm thinking about it. I'll probably end up getting him. Doing a bit more research before I bring him home. I'd hate to mess something up.

So how does the 'fired up' work? I'm really clueless about cresties...all I know is their care. I'm assuming it's similar to beardies and it brings out their 'sexy colors'.

Exactly how it sounds. Bi=2 color. Hes 2 solid colors. Maybe with dalmation spots. Who knows till he's in better care;D Fired up basically means awake and active to the point where there colors enhance. When they sleep they dullen and are better camoflauged(ya know coz there pray animals)

Lol personally Im a fan of dalmations<3
