My setup is complete! It took a while to get it finished but the effort was worth it! Sorry about the pics, I had to take them with a flash. BTW my leo's poo smells pretty bad and I read that is wasn't supposed to. She's quite fine other wise (eating normally). Do you guys have any tips? p.s. her name's Gertrude. :main_rolleyes:

How'd you get that second level in there? Is it glued in or someting? My leo tank in really high and I'm thinking about adding a second level.

nope, I just cut 4 bamboo sticks and it keeps the whole thing pretty stable. I'm going to switch out the old thin bamboos for some 2,5 cm thick ones

I bought my tile at OBI, a Polish version of lowes or homehardware. They generally have a greater variety. It was real cheap too! thanks for all the positive comments everyone

LOL... It is Poop after all...:p

jk... Actually I have heard that if the feces is unusually smelly, or if the animal itself seems to put off an odd odor, even after bathing, then this could be a possible sign of Coccidia. Have your regular fecals done to make sure there are no little critters hitching a ride in your leo, and you should be safe.

But aside from that... I think we could expect any form of poop to smell unpleasant.

And as for the topic... Very nice looking Viv... Impressive! :main_thumbsup:

cool setup Sprucedude. Does Gertrude actually climb up there to use the other hide? I cant see a humid hide in there either. Helps with shedding. I dont know about your Leo, but mine who ive had for 7 yrs can be clumsy at times. For example. The top part of my cushion on my couch i would say is about a foot and half from the carpet below. Once, i had him out of his cage to just let him crawl all over the couch instead. Well, he walked upto the edge of the cushion, stopped for a second or two , then walk right off the edge, and no they arent as gracefull in the air as Crested's, instead he did kind of a faceplant to barell roll. Point is he landed on the carpet, which did him no harm, from that second level in your tank, walking off the edge and landing on the ceramic tiles below, Gertrude might not be so lucky. I dunno, personal preference i guess, or the health and saftey of your reptile.

She does climb up to use the top hide, which I modified to make another humid hide. She has two now, one on the cool side and one on the warm side ( the margarine container with the leaves on it. And it's true the Leo's are not the most graceful animals but that's why I put that stick in lenghtwise. She hasn't fallen off that top floor at all.

I imagine that if a fall began to worry you, one option would be to just trim the legs down some to bring the height down a little. Just a thought.
