Seriously, all of the 4th of July celebrations I can remember up to the time I was toddling around in diapers have been rainy. Every single one. What's up with that? How am I supposed to enjoy the day with the traditional barbeques, swim parties, and fireworks, when it's downpouring?

Mother Nature just doesn't understand :main_yes:

Haha yea, and our weather man said it'll be the first 4th of July that it hasn't rained or been cloudy in years. *looks outside* I think he lied

It sounds like you need tickets to California. It's a little overcast here right now, but that will be gone by noon. Have a great 4th of July. Make the best of it.

LOL, you might want to avoid this part of CA - it's crappy here now - overcast & 63. It might get nice for a while (I hope), but the marine layer is almost always back by fireworks time. Santa Cruz never does fireworks for the 4th - they wait until fall when the weather is more likely to cooperate. Monterey canceled the fireworks this year for budget reasons - tradition aside, it does seem like a waste of money to shoot fireworks off into the fog. So there are no fireworks anywhere in the Monterey Bay area for the 4th this year. We will be going to visit friends that live in a neighborhood where a variety of diy fireworks are legal. We did the same last year and we all had a great time! :D

I hope that everyone has a wonderful 4th - fireworks, or not!! :main_yes:

Khrysty you wanna switch?

It's been over a hundred here all week with no let up.
Right now there is a heat index of 103F... I would kill for 72!

I'd I'm with GeckoTrouble, seriously.. except it's been in the triple digits for over a month now and will only get worse (gets up to 115 in August).. I think a bunch of us just need to switch places for awhile ;)

Happy Independence Day everyone!

It's gorgeous up here in British Columbia, Canada. We've had some really nice weather recently. As far as I'm concerned we were OWED it after the horrible winter we had! TEN FOOT SNOW DRIFTS, amirite?
