Hmmmm well then I'm confused on what I bought then.I went to a reptile show and bought a leo that said jungle bold well it does have weird pattering but has a stripe down the center all three of mine do
Also, I thought there was a thread earlier discussing that for an animal to be considered a real "stripe", it should NOT have banding in the tail but also a striped pattern....I was under the impression that the animals that had a "striped" pattern on thair bodies and banding on their tails were called jungle-stripe....guess it is kind of splitting hairs.....just wondered if there was any concensus on this.....and then I guess this would just follow through to the BOLD varieties......
It´s a jungle of names
But as I said before...these Bells are easy to name, they are not completly striped beacuse of the banded tail.
So they are for sure Jingle Bells
In the olden days, there was a criteria for patterned morphs to 'qualify' for a certain morph name. A 'stripe' had to be striped with a striped or aberrant tail. A 'jungle' had to have a broken neck-band, aberrant pattern, and an aberrant tail pattern. All else was considered an 'aberrant'. Does this still apply today?
I do have one right now that I was on the fence about because of the shoulder band but I think it's a stripe (I'm curious to know what other people would call it though) -
ok, the confusion continues.. i bought this little one (from Franks_Geckos) almost a month ago as a MS Jungle.? but looking at all of this i'm confused
again?
