since school's out for the summer, i just came home from texas to colorado the other day. when i got home, i opened my mealworm container, and about half (of 25 or so) my mealies had pupaeted during the car ride home, and more have in the 24 hours since then. is this merely coincidence? or could it have to do with the change in altitude or climate? we went from near sea level to a mile high and from humid to dry.. just wondering if this would affect the mealies in this way. and if i'll have to do with constant pupae all summer?

Mine tend to pupate when they're warmer and drier. Seems strange that the ride from texas to colorado would do that, though. Was the car particularly warm?

nope, the car was at a pretty cool temperature.. i usually do keep them in the fridge; they've just been out for a few days due to the move. i'll put them back in when i get a little more situated. everything's kind of a mess right now.. haha. thanks for the replies :)
