LOL, Yea i think i have almost every single morph at one time or another......example: Patty's & PA albinos. Mack snows & super snows, red stripes, blizzards and blazzing blizzards, Tangs & CT's, tremper albinos, aptors & raptors, Tremper hybino and TUG sunglows, reverse stripes, stripes, jungles , bell jungle and tremper jungles, normals, regular trempers and regular bells........................ and maybe some more that i cant hink of. I had so many diff kinds bc i couldnt make up my mind what i wanted. LOL
But next on my list is an Enigma, LOL, i think im a little behind on getting this morph! LOL
I don't really care for Tremper Albinos... I think it's mainly because they have so many cool crosses that my beloved Bells lack... We will catch up sooner or later...
Just my opinion, but I really am not overly fond of blizzards either...some of them just look so...um....blah. They really aren't much to look at compared to a good tangerine or a really colorful normal. (all you blizzard breeders and owners...please don't hate me )
There seems to be a lot of "Blizzard Hating" going on here...lol. The funny thing is I never really cared for them too much (or Patternless for that matter), but decided to work with them regardless because I like how the Snow and Super Snow Blizzards that I have seen look.
I don't dislike Bells, but they are my least favorite Albino strain and I have never owned one. That is probably just because I already work with Trempers and Rainwaters and do not want to start any more Albino projects.
I am not a big fan of Bells except when i see how much people are willing to pay for them..lol, then i wish i was selling a bunch...
Bell hybino chins are too spotty for me, I like my hypos spotless preferably
Since i am relatively new without too much vested in these things already I still could cross some other albino strains into my projects...maybe someday...who knows
I WILL say I have seen some enigmas I am not too turned on by, I guess just like the mack snows the variations will be endless. And with these endless combinations (of a dominant gene) undoubtedly there will be many many offshoots and NON-holdbacks making their way into the population.
(There are some macks that are beautiful and some that are just fugly.)
Also re: enigmas, the fact that everyone is only crossing them to the most expensive morphs is kind of stifling the experimentation that could be going on.
While keeping the price so high that everyone is forced to make a return on the investment as soon as possible.
For me genetic 'rarity' plays a role, but the gecko *HAS* to be good looking, or what's the point? (i don't buy ugly geckos..lol)
---but, it's ok, i'll sit back and watch what people are crossing them to and study what works and what doesn't..lol
-one thing that i find disappointing is when people have kept their tremper albinos at really low temps or incubated very low and they do come out dark,
It's just a shame to see brownish geckos that could be very bright (unless it is just a genetically dark tremper)
ok, maybe i was a little harsh today when i wrote the previous post. lol
(during work hours, and work was crazy for awhile.)
I apologize about the mack comment..lol
it's all really so subjective, and that's really the beauty of it anyway...
i really don't like the normal blizzards unless they are really white but i really like blazing blizzards, they are one of my favorites and 98% sure this weekend I will get a male from Harold at gecko-planet. i also don't see whats up with all the mack snows I just think they are overpriced and look worst than normal(color wise) I do like the Bell line since they seem to have nice spotts on them which i like and I don't really like the normal tremper but will probably still own any of these if I had the chance. Hope you guys don't get mad over the mack snow comment because i see many people love mack snows.
I currently have stripes/red stripe/baldis/ hypos and tangerines but will probably get a blazing blizzard this weekend and a baldy female for my birthday. which is on the 20th
I truly like every morph out there. Theyare all unique and have different colors and patterns that make them great. Honestly, I really loveBlizzards. Not jsut because I have one, but I love the color and I love how they become sort of yellow with a teeny bit of carrot tail. I also love tremper albinos. I love all the different kinds, sunglows, hyglos, hbinos, and normals. They have great color and awesome eyes.
Blazzin' Blizzards creep my out with that pale skin and blue/purple tint around their eyes.. just plain ol' creepy in my eyes. No offense to anyone that breeds or owns them, they just aren't my style.
I like all of the morphs. Bells are my least favorite albino strain. However I love the bell crosses. I guess I just dont much care for adult banded bells, unless something is unique on them.
I love blizzards, macks and pattys. But you have ugly ducklings in all of these morphs..the ones that look...dirty. But all gecko genetic mutations hold some important signifigance to another mutation I do like. So I guess I could have made this shorter and said I like them all.
I like most morphs. Banana blizzards are kinda bleh to me. I don't mind very slight yellow tint but when it's bright yellow I don't like it very much. Blazing Blizzards and Snows are probably my favorite however I have seen some really REALLY ugly Snows. I hate it when a Snow has tiny little specks for spots. I probably developed that dislike when I was at a convention and saw a baby snow such as that for $8 that was extremely malnourished. I think malnourished every time I see the tiny spot Snows. I also have a partial disliking for red eyed geckos. I think it's neat and all that they have red eyes and I love to take pictures of them but I would never keep them as a pet. The red eyes make their cute factor drop for me and I like my geckos extra cute. I love almost all geckos that have gray or black eyes. I had a rescue that had these amazing almost bluish gray eyes but he didn't make it and I was so heart broken. Haven't rescued any since then.
