Thanks guys. I was really surprised how "fleshtone" this hatchling is, especially since the NOVAs from the same pair popped out pretty yellow. I'm excited to see what it looks like after the first shed. That pic was taken about two hours after hatching, I think.
Last egg of the season finally hatched!! The incubator is off and I can get on with my life.
This one's a funny one to me. It looks almost exactly like on of the NOVAs from an earlier clutch, it just didn't get the albinism. We'll have to settle for a blackberry pic for now...
Thanks, Aliza. I certainly consider 8 of 8 eggs hatching from this first year pair a major success. I am very fortunate. I haven't really thought too hard about how to sell them. I've got two of them pre-sold, and may put some up for sale in the classifieds in a few months once they develop their adult look a little more. I'm also planning to share a table with another forum member at the Manchester NH show next spring.
Here's a few pics I took with the good camera just a little while ago... I don't know whether that last BEE is my least favorite or maybe one of my favorites. Hopefully, the deep black spots are a sign that it will retain some accent color as the pattern fades. I don't know... I just haven't seen enough of them to judge that kind of stuff.
CONGRATULATIONS pretty babys :main_laugh::main_thumbsup: I hear ya on getting on with your life. I had MANY MANY collared kids this season and some leopard kids and still have some eggs incubating, long spring and summer, lol Best wishes with the new babys
