Hi my gecko has been acting strange the last few days she is not sleeping in her normal spots and is awake in the morning moving. Today she has her mouth partly open every now and then I’m worried she could have a respiratory infection after seeing this but I hear no sound and there is no visible mucus.

Is it really hot where you are? It could be hot. Otherwise I recommend keeping an eye on it to see if anything changes and if you continue to be concerned consider a vet visit.

Thanks it wasn’t to hot about 75 degrees. I had went out for lunch and when I got home she was sleeping and I did not see her open her mouth for the rest of the day making me think I maybe just startled her and it was a threat display. Then yesterday morning she was perched on a low branch and looking off so I called a vet for an appointment today just to be safe but unfortunately she passed and had likely already gone yesterday morning.

So sorry for your loss. Sometimes there are things wrong for awhile but they don't show it until they're really ill.
