Glad things worked out for Sykes. In 5 years these guys will likely be going for $100 or less.

So sad but oh so true. I've learned the hard way your not likely to make lots of money off pricey breeding pairs. But 10k I'd think it would be hard to even break even. But Steve has a big name in the bisness so hopefully he can. And when they drop to the 150 mark or so I'll grab a pair up.

The Gecko was donated by Gourmet Rodent to USARK so they could auction it off for the fundraiser. I do not think Steve or JMG was doing this all for the money. It did seem to be one of those great moments in "Leopard Gecko History"

I think this was a huge move on gourmet rodents to donate this gecko. I'm sure they have been getting big offers for a while on these. My hat is off to them

I agree that the fund raising idea and donation were wonderful. Just remembering all those new morphs that cost thousands of dollars, then hundreds of dollars, then tens of dollars (and then we're just about paying people to take them!).
