Leo Breeder Co-Op????

Has anyone thought about doing a breeder co-op? With so many struggling to keep their breeding going, and so many interested in getting into it, I just thought it may make financial sense for 2 or more breeders to work together in developing a breeder co-operative to share some of the expenses together of breeding? It's something I've thought about for myself on some levels, I know I personally don't know how much I'd want to fully invest myself into it, but am fascinated with the idea, I'm sure there are others out there that might feel the same way?

people do thats its called a breeding loan one person sends their animals to someone they breed and each person gets half of the babies

yeah I like the idea myself... I'd love to do that with mine... I don't have the facility or space to breed at this point since I live in an apt, but I'd love to breed mine with a super giant, and just keep the super baby or 2 and in the future maybe breed.

Unless you have A LOT of trust in the person your doing the loan with, I would personally stay away from it. Someone will likely get screwed over.

It is done alot of time with breeders, these loans. But is generally high dollar animals that are used, or rare animals. But sometimes could just be a join project they are curious about. But it takes alot of trust to do a breeders loan.

i bought some geckos from a guy who hads to sell most of his animals...he sent me 2 tangerine enigmas one het stripe one het raptor for free on a breeding loan..i met the guy 5 days earlier

yeah that's why I'd only want to do it with someone locally within my area. Preferably someone on here.

id love to do that with some i just got. how old is to old to breed(i got a supposed pair, that have no record of nothing. might be a few years old).
