He seems to be adjusting pretty good, he woke up last night and wouldn't quit looking at me. I was looking at him out the corner of my eye. He then started to push his hide around as it makes alotmof noise with it being on the tile. He stopped and came back over and looked at me again like hello i want out.

I didn't really look at him and he pushed his hide around some more. He is too funny.
My daughter loves the little guy, she is always looking at him. She is 4 yrs old like him. She asked me today why is he so lazy, all he does is sleep. I told her what do you want him to do and she responded by saying I don't know a backflips then she laughed real loud.

She expects him to run around but I told her it's not like that. She named him corn since he kinda looks like the color of corn. I just laughed as she is funny with names. She named our ball python mr. Hissy she always checks on him and calls him buddy alot. She reay likes him and I'm glad. She wanted a lizard for her birthday in June so I got her the gecko, it is a bit early but she is happy.

Well he woke up, came out his hide. He climbed on the cool hide and stared at me like normal. I tried to hand feed a cricket and a mealworms but he didn't take either of them. I put his food away and layed my hand in there flat.
He climbed right in my hand and wanted out. I sat on the rug in the living room and did a circle with my legs. He walked around trying to get out of my circle. He climbed on my foot and I moved him back. He stayed in the circle for about 15 minutes then I out him back in.

When I went to put him back down in the tank he would not move at all. I try to tilt my hand so his front legs go down first then titlt back and normally he Walks off. He wouldn't move so I had to grab him with my other hand and get him off.

Now he is in his tank and pushing his hide around like normal. I don't know why he does that but he always does it when I put him back in his tank. Now he's staring at me again like normal but he's not coming back out tonight lol..

I figured he wouldn't eat but it was worth a try. I will try tomorrow tho. Do you normally feed in the morning or afternoon? I just try to feed when he is awake..

Between two terrariums
A backflip.

Sounds like he had a nice outing. Yeah, sometimes mine doesn't want to go back in the cage either. ;)

Curiosity, do you have anything covering the sides of your hides? Paper, other stuff in the viv or something? If you only have clear hides, he may feel a bit exposed. Have you found any rocks, etc. that would make good cage furniture? Now's a good time to get it ready, clean, sanded down or whatever it looks like it needs.

No I don't have anything on his hides, i don't think he's feeling exposed tho either. He's been sleeping with his tail, or his head or even a leg sticking out of his hide all the time. He looks pretty comfy when he's sleeping. He use to cram himself in the back of the hide but he never does that anymore.

I fixed that castle thing so he won't get stuck anymore. I sat outside last night and wittled away at it with my knife until I got it right. He can get all the way thru the castle now, I had to get a piece out of the back and open up the hole in the front. He played with it for about a half hour last night around 3am.
