Hi all
I have 2 female Leo's that i purchased today and i have many questions
my viv is setup as follows
left hand side is the hot side with heat pad and a 60w red spotlamp
compact light with 2 26w exo terra bulbs 2.0
3 hides left, middle, and right cool side (this is filled with damp moss)
water dish etc

i was only told to purchase calc with d3 for dusting 3 times a week

what i need help with is
1. do i need a dish constantly filled with dusty/non dusty worms?
2. Calcium dish/lid with d3 or without?
3. ive know their food needs dusting with calc and a vitamin, but herein lies my big problem, with d3? without? or do i get an all in 1 like repashy calc +
plus what vitamin supplement is the one to use? how often?

im seriously pulling my hair out over this

any help would be appreciated

thanks in advance
Rob

The worms I leave in the tank for my geckos are not dusted, but you could dust them in calcium w/out d3 if you would like. As long as you have a small container of calcium w/out d3 in the tank at all times, you will be fine.

You can dust the occasional meal with calcium with d3, say, once a week.

Or, to end confusion, you can get the all in one repashy and not worry.

Also, just as a side note, your geckos do not require any lighting. Your heat pad should produce enough heat, but double check. Lights tend to stress them out.

Thx for getting back to me
i was looking at ordering repashy all in 1 calc plus, im i right in thinking that i wouldnt need a seperate vitamin for my leo as well as calc? and that this would be all i need to use daily?

ive heard about the lighting, and without the red bulb my tank is around 70 - 75 F
and when i switch it on its 80 - 85 and they seem to come out to bask in it, my plan is to leave the room dark and use the red light for simulating daytime, and the white lights for cleaning etc

thanks again its very much appreciated, im quite nervous about hurting these little buggers through ignorance

What are you using to measure the temperatures? The only accurate ones are the ones with a probe that you can put on the surface of their substrate, or an infrared temperature gun.

i have 2 thermometers with probes, 1 in the hot side, 1 in the cool, and a normal dial 1 for the middle just cos it came with the tank :D
