Hello Everyone,
(This is my first post on here so excuse me if i make any mistakes communicating)
I am a new breeder but have been dealing with leopard gecko for over 9 years(pets). This past year I bought a c serpents adult rack for my geckos. I loved the shipping time, having it already built, tubs included, basically it being open and go.
When looking between what racks to get i looked also at Animal Plastics as thats what looks to be most peoples favorite. I asked a trusted breeder which he liked and said he knew chris and to give his a try so i did.
I liked the idea of the plastic cover that goes over the top of the tape to protect it from the "feet" of the tubs. Unfortunately, I had many problems trying to get the right temperature in the tubs due to the plastic cover.
I contacted Chris about this problem a while back and had to move the probe around until i found the right spot. Recently it has been working alright, for the lower 4 shelves. I have 5 geckos in the rack at this point (very high quality) and just want the best and reliable for my animals. The top shelf of the rack always has lower temps then the other shelves and don't want to risk putting geckos on the shelf if i don't have to. (other shelves are around 90-91 while top is norm 86 at the same time)
Sorry for the long background but i just want the answer to be based on what i have.
This season I will be breeding them for the first time successfully and will need a hatchling rack along with another adult for new additions and holdbacks. I am looking to those of you who have worked with both of these racks to recommend getting more c serpents or animal plastics.
Any information or experiences would be appreciated!
Connor
