Leopard geckos Vs. Crested geckos.

In your opinion, which are cooler or best to keep?
what are the pros and cons.

i like the different morphs from leos but i like the cgd for cresties and he fact that they can climb

I LOVE Cresties, they are the absolute cutest. But I still prefer my leos. Leos are easier to keep, have simpler requirements and have more personality.

They are both very nice and both easy for beginners. The good thing about cresties is that they can be kept at room temp w/o a UTH if your house stays a consistent temp, and can be fed CGD only (although i use crickets as well as CGD) It is cool that they can climb up the class, and as i type this, my guy is sleeping on the wall of his tank right next to me
I love my leos though as well, they arent quite so....quick moving, lol, although they can be, if they want to. They require minimal care as well, and come in many gorgeous morphs....(not that cresties don't, i sure do love my cream flame)
They are both good for beginners, and both amazing pets...i cannot pick one, but i would pick both

I have both so it's interesting to decide which is "better."
Geckos are super calm, for the most part. You can grab them pretty easily and they will walk on your hands without problem unless you get a shy one (I have 6 right now and only one of them is skiddish). For me, living in Florida, I don't have to do much as far a temperature for them so they have an undertank heater and they're set. I also think that as far as the colors go, they can get so pretty. They look like little dinosaurs haha

Cresties are another story. I only have 1 as of right now (I'm waiting to get 2 more shipped next week) and she is pretty skiddish. However, they are also sooo cool - just their texture is amazing haha they're soft! I have her in a big naturalistic tank, so finding her in the plants and then grabing her is a pain because they are so good at hiding among the leaves. I also think that the dark brown color they commonly come in is beautiful. They do need a lot more humidity, and since they love total darkness, it's hard to see them just walking around like Leos do.

I guess cresties are "cooler" just because they look more different, but it's all personal preference. If you can get a really social crestie then I think they're great. But Leos also make great pets and they are just so mellow usually.

Oh, I just noticed who the original poster was! Hi again! So you've narrowed it down to Cresties vs. Leos? Let me know what you end up going with!

I think Crested Geckos are cooler only because they can climb walls, and I like the tropical geckos. From what I see, it looks easier to take care of Crested Geckos. I would say it's up to you, because they have about the same difficulty of maintenance.

I like both but Leos win for me because there are more morphs that you can work with at this point. CGD is the bomb though!
