OHHHH, okay, I got you. No, put it on the ground, since that's where your gecko will be. Monitoring the temps halfway up the tank won't tell you what your gecko is experiencing - unless it's a rare levitating morph.hmm...
I have two Thermostats , one for the UTH and one for a Ceramic Bulb. The thermostat for the UTH I put its probe inside of the Hot Side Hide. The thermostat for the Ceramic bulb , should I put the prob near the ground or higher in the tank since I'm going to be using it to keep the air temps in range as well ? Hope that clears it up , but it can be hard to explain my thought process sometimes. Thanks Again. Once I get this figured out I should be good to go to finish up once my last packages arrive ! Oh and I'm currently getting coconuts scraped out , baked and boiled for hides.
That's awesome! I look forward to seeing it. I'm sure it'll be great.sounds good. I will add pics of the tank once its fully together this week , hopefully on Wednesday ! Than I have a month to monitor the tank till the Northern Virginia Reptile show next month
It's what we're here for.Sounds good , and thanks again for all the help , it has made the process of getting ready a little less stressful
Don't use tape inside any herp's enclosure. I've heard some horror stories. If you need to weigh it down, use rocks or something.Could I use medical tape to hold down the probes of the thermostats and thermometers ?
