Sorry, I'm a little confused by this question. =/

~Maggot

hmm...

I have two Thermostats , one for the UTH and one for a Ceramic Bulb. The thermostat for the UTH I put its probe inside of the Hot Side Hide. The thermostat for the Ceramic bulb , should I put the prob near the ground or higher in the tank since I'm going to be using it to keep the air temps in range as well ? Hope that clears it up , but it can be hard to explain my thought process sometimes. Thanks Again. Once I get this figured out I should be good to go to finish up once my last packages arrive ! Oh and I'm currently getting coconuts scraped out , baked and boiled for hides.

OHHHH, okay, I got you. No, put it on the ground, since that's where your gecko will be. Monitoring the temps halfway up the tank won't tell you what your gecko is experiencing - unless it's a rare levitating morph. :p

So I finished my coconut hide. What do you guys think ? I had to coconuts but on one both halves busted in the oven , the second one both halves came out nice but one section busted when cutting a opening so this is all that was left.

Also I have a general idea of how I'm going to do my layout of the tank.

Where the stump is on the left I'm going to be using Exo Terra Reptile Cave the small version which is 3.5 x 6.8 x 2.2 or maybe keep the log or get the smaller version , what do you guys think ? In the middle that is the container I would like to use as the Humid Hide but its clear and not to sure what to do to make it dark. on on the right cool side I have the water dish and the new coconut hide. Will place the food dish in while feeding and still need to add a cap of calcium. Also thinking of adding a back ground to all three sides , leaving the front open. I'm hoping to find a nice 20 gallon long tank at the expo next month.

Looks good. :) I don't think you need to worry about making the humid hide dark unless you have an extremely skittish gecko. If you still want to, though, you can buy some moss or river rocks and attach them using aquarium sealant. And I'd suggest going for the small rock cave, just because the gecko would feel more secure in that. If you can find a 20 gallon long, then you can use all three of the dry hides - one on the warm side, one on the cool side, and one in the middle.

Here are a few images , still waiting on the new rock hide for the hot side which comes tomorrow. Temps are still holding. The thermostat in the first pic is for the CHE. Any suggestions ?

Looks good to me. :) I'm not sure if you were one of the people saying you wanted to get a bigger tank, but the Co of Pets has a sale on tanks of $1/gallon. I'd snatch one up now if you have a few bucks to spare.

Just got my new hide in and placed it in , after a short while the temps shot up , guess the rock really does heat up. So i Turned down the CHE to 80 so it doesn't stay on all the time. Will see how it goes. Hopefully I will be picking up my new leo this weekend from a local breeder. Will place the paper towel in the wet hide at that time , going to leave my sticker thermometer and the other one just to have a back up to the digital thermometers and thermostats
