Make sure to have dry hides on the cool and warm sides, and I'd suggest one in the middle too. Chances are good your leo won't hardly ever have to go to the cool side; she'll likely just go back and forth between hot and middle. Plus, the more hides, the more secure she can feel - can never have too many hides. I'm sure she'll do well in the new tank.Today I got a 20 gal long and a 30-40 gal uth . using repti-carpet for the time being till I can get slate tiles. I moved it to the downstairs where its warmer. Temps in the new cage are 88-91 and holding much longer, The cool side stays at a constant 77. Also bought a few new hides for it. Kinda worried moving my little leo so early especially now since shes eating allot. But I figured I should get it done and over, the new home is so much better. Any ideas on how to make the move easier ? Pics to come tomorrow.
That's good. This is why I say 20 longs should be minimum for a gecko. They do so much better. Glad she likes it.Got her into the new enclosure today , she is more active now in the 20gal l than she was in the 10 gallon. It was a big surprise , shes even eating ! Handled the move better than I would !
