looooong
i voted no, from personal experience. i used to work at a locally owned place. and i am sad to say that they did a horrible job at everything. there was one guy who worked there who was great with reptiles and he would make sure they would get fed everyday/ misted/ quarintined if needed, etc. the thing was that the attitude from the owner and one of the managers of the store was that they were his reptiles and he could take care of them. ok not so bad as he was a full time employee (and also a manager) reptiles can go 2 days without eating. but the same thing would happen when he went on vacation... it sucked. the owner was too wrapped up in making money that she didnt care about anything else. a prime example is when she got 2 russian tortoises as a surrender (eg- FREE) ended up taking them home because she couldnt sell them because she would not separate them (fyi- turtles do not mate for life). about a week later she BOUGHT 3 more, priced them too high, and two died because of respiratory problems from not being warm enough (why you ask??? because it was to expensive to keep their light on all night) I walked out on that job before i could find out what happened to the third one- chances are he's gone too. sorry about the long post- its kind of a rant lol. my boyfriend keeps telling me that we are gonna win the lottery and open up a petstore right next to hers, undercut her prices and steal all her business:main_yes:...someday
