Ok so I'm not sure if anyone has read any of my other posts but I'm putting some pics up of my small blazing blizzard that I got about 3 1/2 wks ago.

She hasnt been eating so I'm not really sure what to do, and any advice would be appreciated.

In my opinion, things are looking grim for her...I have no local herp vet where I live, and the regular vet has no idea what he's doing with reptiles...I would guess closes herp vet would be maybe 2 - 2 1/2 hours away.

Her temps are fine, I assure you I have my husbandry correct...she just wont eat. I've tried mealies, crix, waxworms, babyfood even on her nose, she took some of that but I doubt it did much for her.

PLEASE HELP.

Make her some "gecko soup" (formerly known as slurry) and start syringe feeding her a few times a day. If she lapped up the baby food, then she'll surely eat that and it's much better, nutritionally. Once she's started gaining some weight, try to wean her off of it and back on solid food. She's young, but she doesn't look that bad off just yet.

Where did you get it? Was it healthy and eating before? I see poo in the cage... is that from him/her?

Sometimes babies just dont thrive...

If your husbandry is perfect and you cant get it to eat then there isnt much you can do without a vet...

You just drop it on her nose (or at least that's how they tell you to do it) and have her lick it off. I find that my geckos will just lap directly from the syringe. They really like the stuff

get a plastic syringe... not one with a needle. Can get these at drugs stores or some pet stores. put drops of food on her lips/end of her nose like you were doing with the baby food.

I got her and my mack snow from a pet store about 30 minutes away from my home, She was eating I witnessed her eat at least 2 mealworms, she had been pooping regularly and stopped the past 2 days. But since I got her she's only ate 2 mealworms and the other one I got at the same place/time has been eating extremely well and gaining weight.

They are separated by the way.

Yeah she was pooping regularly after the first 3 days of owning her, then about 2 days ago no pooping, and no visual consumption of food for 2 weeks now, she at 2 mealies when I first brought her home and then nothing.

Update, I havent got all the stuff to make the slurry yet, but I did manage to get her to take a little bit of turkey baby food with repcal multivitamins mixed in with it.

Gonna try some more later tonight untill I can get out to purchase what I need for the slurry.

Hot side temp is 96f cool side is room temperature about 74-76f she has cool side hide, warm side hide, moist hide ( which she stays in constantly ) calcium dish, food and water dishes, she's on paper towel substrate.

I spot clean daily if needed, and full clean every 2 weeks.

I've tried everything to get her to eat, all types of feeders for her size, pinheads, mealworms, even waxworms she wont take.

I've broke a waxworm open and put its guts on her mouth for her to lick off then tried to get her to take a live one. no success.

She's looking extremely thin to me.

She is pretty thin. Is that a 10 gallon tank you have her in? Maybe that's just too much space for her? You could try covering a few of the sides with dark paper to make her feel more secure.

And the hides shouldn't be really big. Such a small gecko doesn't need a huge hide. If it's something they have to cram themselves in and can feel the sides around them, that's ideal.

This may sound disgusting but it worked with one of our hatchlings that wouldnt eat....we cut a mealie in half and rubbed the guts on his mouth. It seemed to stimulate his appetite. Can you get baby roaches? Those seem to appeal to some of our picky eaters. Good luck with your little one

I really appreciate all the help and advice guys ( and gals )

I'm going to try breaking a mealworm in half and getting her to lick that up, I'll have to call a vet and check if there are any herp vets around here, I'd bet my closest one would be in St.Louis, and I'm about 2 hours away from St.Louis.

I have the lil gecko in my prayers and I'm doing all that I can for her.

Roger I'll try that dark paper idea, and I'll put some smaller plastic containers for hides maybe that will help.
