I have wanted a gecko that could climb glass for literally my whole life. Just seeing them climbing it is the coolest thing. I have been looking around, and I'd like to do a planted viv with a bioactive substrate. I'll most likely be keeping them in the exo terra 18x18x24, so I'd like it to be rather small. I was looking at some Mourning Gecko's, but since they reproduce by themselves, I don't know how many babies they will have. It would be cool to have the babies, but I just don't want like 30 babies to care for. Like I said in the title, It must be tropical, arboreal, communal, and most importantly, be able to climb glass:D

I haven't decided if I want nocturnal or diurnal yet so offer up both.
Handleable- No preference

A few considerations:
--many species of geckos can be kept "communally" females only (or a male and a few females) but there's always a danger that even the females will fight
--the smaller geckos and in my experience, many day geckos in particular, tend to be pretty reclusive. I have a Gold Dust day gecko that I literally only see every few weeks and a P. klemmeri that I only see because she spends all her time inside a piece of split bamboo.

That said, here are some possibilities:

--crested geckos and gargoyle geckos are more temperate than tropical and are nocturnal, but do climb on the glass are large enough to see and handle.

--L. williamsi, the electric blue day gecko, are very bold and curious. They're a bit harder to keep than the crestie or garg and bit harder to find

--check out some of the Phelsuma species. They do tend to hide somewhat in my experience but many people have had good experiences with them.

U. Phantasticus. Males are housed together with very little if ever issues. You may have specific animals that don't get along but for a display communal spp. I don't think you will get a better looking gecko.
