hi all
often wonder how folks name their hatchlings so thought I'd introduce Lucky and Rocket and how they got their names
Lucky hatched two weeks ago and unlike their clutchmate was very tiny (just 5cm long) and extreemly thin
, to be honest I didn't expect Lucky to live long but endevoured to give them the best chances I could ~ now two weeks later although dinky and a lot smaller then the others Lucky is still going strong, she's starting to actively hunt and although it doesn't look like it in the picture is finally putting on weight
Lucky today compared with a milkbottle lid (4cm)
Rocket got their name tonight when they were hatching :main_rolleyes: I was in the process of taking a picture for the records..... next I saw a flash of movement as Rocket decided to literally go off like a rocket and launched herself (and in one jump) out of the eggshell, eggbox and the incubator  My family laughed when they later saw the pre-launch photo ~ namely Rockets head marking
