lygodactylus communal question......

I have a dwarf yellow head gecko and was wondering if I could put him in with my electric blues ? I just feel bad because he always stares away into the electrics tank....... Any answers are appreciated !!!!

I don't know for sure, but they are generally not social. I would worry about putting another male in if there is already a male in your williamsi tank. Is your dwarf yellow head another willimasi species? I'd also worry about interspecies breeding.

Sorry for the late response....... My yellow head is in the same class but different species ...... As far as interspecies breeding that is my main concern. I guess I have to be on the hunt for a female yellow head so he won't be so lonely.......

Are you sure he's really lonely? There are a few gecko species that are somewhat communal, but most of them aren't.

I guess it must be territory thing . I do have their tanks next to eachother .

I agree, he's probably feeling territorial. You might want to put a sight blocker in between them. Sometimes males will get so stressed they prolapse if they think another male is encroaching on their space.
