Ive been wondering the difference between a Mack Snow and a Mack Pastel. All i've been able to find is on Leopardgeckowiki but the information seems lacking. How do they work genetically? How are they different from a regular yellowish snow? Are they different from a "ghost" morph? Can anyone help me out?

A mack pastel, as far as I can tell, is a mack snow sibling with paler coloring. It doesn't hatch out pure black and white (or pink and white in the case of albinos) and therefore is NOT a snow. It will not produce snow offspring. Selling a gecko as a mack pastel is the same as selling it as a mack sibling. It allows the gecko to sound more interesting than it actually is.

If a normal Mack pastel (pastel being a lighter normal) is paired with a regular normal then would all the babies be regular normals? or would that lighter yellow coloration be maintained in the subsequent generations? According to my research (mentioned above) the pastel trait is dominate so then, theoretically, is a 50% chance of producing pastels? I have no experience breeding what-so-ever.

The pastel coloration would have a 50% chance of coming out in offspring. Other offspring would be varying degrees of light - to - dark depending on the color of the other parent.

Thanks for all your help Khrysty. One last question with a pic ;). This is my Mack Snow Pastel, what morph should she be called? She is a bell albino mack pastel and resembles a hybino or hypo but her pastelness confounds me. Her tail is quite a bit more orange along with the rest of her body. Shes still young but growing fast. Thanks.

I've met her parents, so to speak, and the father is a tangerine the mother a snowbell. Does that change anything?
