Or do I have to breed back the siblings, and also since its a MS Raptor does that change the morph from being a Ember. And do you have pics? pics are always nice lol

Assuming there are no unknown hets, your pairing will produce:

50% Mack Snow het Tremper/Eclipse/Patty
50% Normal het Tremper/Eclipse/Patty

The possibilities from breeding those offspring together are too numerous to list, but include a 1/256 chance of Super Snow Embers, 2/256 chance of Mack Snow Embers, and 1/256 chance of Embers. As far as I know Snow/Super Snow Embers have not been given a new name.

So... here are the genes...
Heterozygous Mack
Homozygous Eclipse X Homozygos patty
Homozygous Tremper

Homozygous X A non Het. always = Het. What that means....
Homozygous Tremper X Normal = Het tremper.

Heterozygous X A non Het. Always = Het. OR nothing. What that means...
Heterozygous Mack X Normal = Hetrozygous mack OR Normal.

So... We have a homozygous eclipse, and Tremper that is being crossed to a gecko that is not homozygous Tremper or eclipse and it is not Het. for Tremper or eclipse.

That mean all the babies will be 100% het for eclipse and Tremper.

We have a Heterozygous mack that is being crossed to a gecko that is not homo or het mack.

That means 50% will be mack and 50% will be normal.

We also have a Homozygous Patty crossed to a gecko that is not homo or het patty.

That means all the babies will be 100% Het. patty.

All your babies will be...

Mack snow, 100% Het. Eclipse, Tremper, Patty. and...
Normals, 100% Het. Eclipse, Tremper, Patty.

If you crossed the babies together.

Normal (with all the hets) X Normal (with all the hets)
You will have approximately 1.5625% chance of making an ember or 1/64.

Mack (with all the hets) X Normal (with all the hets)
You will have approximately 0.78125% chance of making a mack snow ember or 1/128.

Mack (with all the hets) X Mack (with all the hets)
You will have approximately 0.390625% chance of making a Super snow ember or 1/256.

Fun numbers to think about =D

Josiah.

EDIT: Go away Tony. LOL! I can never do anything fast enough =(

Ummmmm ... I think you need to recheck the outcome of the initial pairing. :main_rolleyes:

It SHOULD be:
25% of hatchlings will be Mack Snow het Tremper, Eclipse, and Patternless
75% of hatchlings will be Normal het Tremper, Eclipse, and Patternless

If it were a Super Snow in the pairing, then you'd end up with a 50/50 split, but not with a Mack Snow. :main_no:

Ummmmm ... How about NO. :main_rolleyes:

One mack snow parent gives a 50/50 split, a super snow parent would give 100% mack snow.

So in other words...I have a better shot at winning the powerball or mega millions then getting an Ember lol, I was thinking of putting my female in a lay box, when would be the best time? I noticed the egg this week, maybe mid last week, I got my perlite today(couldn't find vermiculate) and was gonna fill up a shoe box half way with a perlite/water mix.in my two gecko books it didn't say the gestation period, or maybe I was to excited to take my time but how long do I have?

I just put a lay box in the cage with the female. Just put a deli cup with a hole on top so the female can get in to it.

They will lay more eggs about 3-4 weeks after the last clutch.
