Madagascar Day Gecko

I have had a young Madagascar Day Gecko for 3 weeks but I have not seen it for the last few days is this normal behaviour or should I be worried?

I have a gold dust day gecko that I often don't see. Right now she's in a piece of bamboo with about 3/4" of her tail sticking out but sometimes I search the cage and she doesn't seem to be anywhere. It's probably normal.
