Making a rack.. heat tape??

This may sound dumb but I was wondering if anyone can explain how you would use heat tape.. I tried to look it up on the internet and have found it on ebay but I read something about having to hook up wires? I am trying to figure out how to make a rack and it doesn't seem to be difficult except for this part.. although I could probably ask at a Home Depot or something... just trying to get some info.. thanks :main_yes: I do have heating cable which looks a lot easier....

Heh...I'm too tired to look for the thread but try searching "heat tape" in this section. There were at least a few threads about it. I'll try looking for them tomorrow if no one else beats me to it.

You could always just use heat cable,much easier then heat tape.. Just a suggestion

That explanation was awesome, its not hard but I do think the cable would be easier, and safer (for me anyways.. I don't want to burn the house down :main_no: my parents might get mad!) great tutorial though Its just hard to know exactly what the text means while reading it when you have no idea what the materials look like.. lol.. thank God for pictures!
