Male with male?

My friend has a male crestie in a large tank and I was curious to know if we could possibly put another male in with him, after being quarantined of course

Nope. They will fight. There are cases of 2 mature males together in an enclosure that have been together since they were hatchlings and have never been near a female getting along but even that is pretty risky.

I've heard of male cresties being able to live together but I was never quite sure the conditions, my friend wanted to get another crestie for her large take but didn't want to risk getting eggs
