First let me say that I work an overnight shift and have plenty of time to sit and read. I spend most of it here reading back over threads from before I was here. I have read alot of the old post and have learned alot from most all of you guys/gals but I have to give an extra big thanks to Marcia as she seems to always have an answer for everyone. It is great to have someone like you on a forum like this to give so much time and effort to everyone here. Not sure if anyone has every gave you an extra thanks but you now have one from me. Im not a beginner by no means but Ive learned alot from reading your post Marcia thanks.

This is a great thread. Marcia deserves major kudos for her contributions here. Many times I have found questions of my own that have already been asked and answered. It's so nice to have someone that is open and willing to share so much information and knowledge (and that she has the experience/great vet info to back it up so you know it's not bunk).

Yay for Marcia!!!!

I agree and have told Marcia many times that she is one of the two people who inspired us to try breeding projects and even get into business. The other person is Nancy Wheat of the Tangerine Gecko.

Marcia is amazing! She's the one who got me started on these forums, and the inspiration for the breeding project I'd like to have someday! She's also responsible for my newest addition, and he's gorgeous! (Thank you again Marcia!) :)

That's a great thread!
Marcia is a great person. That is right. She always helps people with their questions but on the other hand, and this shows her real greatness (I hope that's the right word for what I mean), doesn't hesitate to share her own questions with us and even shares her problems and mistakes with everyone, so we all can always learn something from her.
Thx for that Marcia. Can't wait to meet you in Daytona.

Regards,
Johannes

WOW!!! I don't know what to say for a change! Thanks everyone.... this means so much to me.

You know, when I started out 12 years ago raising Leopard Geckos there really wasn't much information available... especially online. It wasn't until Kingsnake.com started the first Leopard Gecko Forum that we could all connect, share, and learn from each other. Many of my long-term relationships in this hobby began there, and most continue to this very day.

It's just the tip of the iceberg, so-to-speak. In a sense, we are all still learning about these beautiful, gentle creatures we all love because even though there is now a lot of information available, there is so much more we still don't know. I made a personal commitment many years ago that I would openly share what I have learned and am still learning... my successes and my failures. I want our geckos to have the BEST care possible from what we do know, to thrive and grow. I want all of you to find the level of joy I have found in my geckos.

I want to offer my most sincere thanks to all of you for your kind words, and my deepest appreciation to Kelli, and Ryan, for giving us this incredible resource known as GeckoForums.net!

I remember you long before you changed your name to GGG :main_thumbsup:

Remember the old days and the old IRC chatroom... it's been a long time.

You are correct Marcia, Kelli and Ryan also need a big thanks as well. If not for them we all would not have this place. It is great to have this place not just for the friendship that form here but the commroderee(sp?) as well. Thanks to both of you for your time and effort.

Marcia,
I singled you out and thanked you due to the older post. Seems you havent minded helping anyone out. I read some old post where time and time again the same questions were asked by different people and you almost always were one of the ones that answered. It really stuck out to me that you had the patience to do that. A lot of times on other forums too many times I have seen newbies ask a question that has been asked to death and get blasted for it. I know we have the search and everything and those question do get old. But as I stated I have a high opinion of you just for that reason.

Ah, Marcia, Marcia, every time I make a post (which I make a lot of), I always wait for your reply. I know that your reply will be above and beyond what it needs to be. Everyone here appreciates you and your thoughts. Like I have said before, you are an infinite bowl of knowledge. I am always looking through posts trying to find an answer to my never ending questions, when I find the answer, it is usually yours. When everyone else's post is 2 sentences, yours is 4 paragraphs. You are so committed to making sure that everyone understands exactly what should be done, and that is why we all love you :)main_thumbsup: :main_rolleyes: ).

Thank You So much, Marcia!!

P.S. Keep posting I have a ton more questions!! lol

Marcia definitely has a heart of gold when it comes to her babies - and when it comes to the community that loves these delightful, loveable creatures we call leopard geckos. I love how well, fairly, and kindly she deals with people.

Well said, everyone. Marcia is so helpful, kind, and truly loves what she does!! It means a lot to have someone who is so willing to share the good, the bad, and the ugly of her trials and tribulations - it recently helped save one of my geckos!! (fingers crossed) Thanks very much, Marcia. :D

And thanks to everyone who has been kind, helpful, thoughtful..........there are so many. Paul, Steve, Kelli, Dan L., ....and the list goes on. That's what makes this such a great community to be involved in. I feel very fortunate. :main_yes:

That pretty much sums it up. The day Marcia doesn't have the answer for one of our many questions then we're in trouble... then again, that day will probably never come.

AMEN!!!

Marcia, even though we've never met or even talked, it is obvious to me how much your animals mean to you. The fact that you are always so willing to help all of us here on GF just highlights the fact that you love leopard geckos as a whole, and not just your collection. The trials that you faced with your heat shock geckos, and the lengths you went to in order to help them and the rest of the gecko nation is a true testament to your amaziness. And as Dan said, may the day never come when you can't answer one of our questions. *hugs*
