Hi! *WAVE* I'm new here—my leopard gecko (Max) and I are excited to join you all! A little about us:

Max is my first gecko - I got him a few months ago as a 'rescue' gecko (he is 6 years old) and he was being very under fed and had an almost bare terrarium. He was also very skittish.

Since then, I've upgraded his terrarium to a 40gal, added a lot of cool enrichment to his home, and we've been working hard to trust each other. Last week was the first time he let me scoop him up and sat on my hand! He's really used to me now, barely bothering to move when I'm in his terrarium.

I also have two cameras in his terrarium so I can keep an eye on him all the time! If anyone is interested in specs, they are TP-Link Tapo 2K Pan/Tilt Indoor Security cameras (about $60CAD for both) and they hook up wirelessly to my computer and phone. Because they are security cameras they don't do 'close-up' well (it's blurry), but in the 40gal I can place them far enough away that the picture is quite good.

Adding some pics! Some show the terrarium setup — note that I do not have sand in my terrarium, it is a 'sand mat' where the sand/grit is glued onto a plastic mat to give him the rough texture but not any digestion problems!

(The pics in this post NOT taken with the in-terrarium cameras, they are phone pics)

I also have an instagram for Max (https://www.instagram.com/maxthemagicgecko/) and we sometimes stream over on Twitch.

⁉️ Does anyone else use cameras in their setup?

Welcome! I have so many setups I'd go nuts with cameras. I've got nocturnal and diurnal geckos in a variety of climates, so I kind of have hot and cold running geckos.
