I usually buy 30 mealworms at a time for my leo from Armstrong's containers so is it really necessary to provide a source of moisture for them since they won't be around for long? Thank you

They are usually OK for awhile without moisture. Some people say they can get it to an extent from the humidity in the air.

Its not only about survival for the meal worm.
It has to do with a better meal worm for ...Your Gecko.

It probably wouldn't hurt to use something. My mealworms get big and plump after eating some carrot.:)

If you buy only a few mealworms, you do not know what they have been eating.

Assuming that you are gutloading them then, you should provide some moisture.

So use a slice of a carrot, poatoe or an apple.

If a Mealy does not get what it needs then, it will try to eat another Mealy to get what it wants.:D
