I enjoy observing the mealworms, pupa, beetles and crickets. And would like to share some photos with you if they don't creep you out
Some of my first patch of mealies enjoying the carrot :
Two freshly molted mealies :
I call them "The Aliens"
From my observation, mealworms will become still before they turn into pupa. When you touch them they would move around a bit but they can't move their legs for their legs are already "sticked together" inside the exoskeleton. If you touch a mealworm and it moves its legs, then it isn't close to pupating.
You can also see some orange / reddish marks under their exoskeleton just before pupating.
I'll probably post more in the future. Hope you enjoy them too !
